Required notice details

A valid notice should identify the copyrighted work, identify the material claimed to be infringing, provide contact information, and include a good-faith statement plus a statement made under penalty of perjury that the complaint is accurate and you are authorised to act.

  • Your name and contact details.
  • A description of the copyrighted work.
  • The exact URL of the allegedly infringing material.
  • A statement of good-faith belief and authority to act.

Counter-notices

If content is removed following a complaint and the uploader believes it was removed by mistake or misidentification, they may send a counter-notice. Counter-notices should identify the removed material, explain the basis of the objection, and provide consent to the applicable legal process where required.

Repeat infringement and abuse

This process is intended for copyright claims, not ordinary moderation disputes. Repeated credible complaints may lead to account restrictions, while knowingly false notices can themselves justify enforcement action.
